Idle-Free Banners

The Tides Foundation asked us to print enough Idle-Free banners for every school in Hayward, California. Anti-idling campaigns at schools increase attendance by keeping kids healthier, especially those with Athsma and otherenvironmentally-triggered health issues. See Idle Free Oakland for more information.

Smart Cookie Labels

posted May 21, 2012, 1:51 PM by Kristen Caven   [ updated May 21, 2012, 1:59 PM ]

We designed the Smart Cookie icon for local Insurance Agent Ruth Stroup. She needed a bag to put her cookies in that people wouldn't throw away. After evaluating dozens of options, we decided on a matte-printed oval sticker to put on a reusable ziplock baggie.

The beauty of this design is that it's like a business card that you can eat...and one that you won't file with all your other business cards. The cookie makes an impression that's bound to the senses... with chocolate!

Perfectly Revolting

posted Aug 20, 2010, 3:36 AM by Kristen Caven   [ updated Aug 20, 2010, 3:47 AM ]

We wanted to convey the tongue-in-cheek spirit of this book accurately, so we chose a very "perfect" looking font and gave the second word a "revolting" drop-shadow color. The yellow background is patterned with images of the author from inside this book about cartooning. (Click image to see it larger.)

The publisher also needed a second cover for a special edition. We put a t-shirt on the character to carry the message to a college crowd.

Uplift Press

This publisher needed a logo with a warm color scheme and an uplifting message. The yellow arc over the letters can be seen as a rising sun, an umbrella, or a yellow rainbow.
